Now Hiring · Senior Designer

We're hiring a Senior Designer / Storyboard Artist

Visual direction for premium SaaS launch videos.

I'm Tom Jullien, founder of Jullien Motion — a premium motion design studio focused on launch videos for SaaS companies. We've shipped launches for Composio, Stacklist, Parfour, Conduct.ai, Drafted and more. We're looking for a Senior Designer / Storyboard Artist to own the storyboarding stage of every launch.

The role

You take a locked script and brand assets and turn them into an 8–15 frame storyboard in Figma that I can ship to the client with light review.

  • 3–4 launches per month (scaling), each 30–60 seconds
  • You own composition, type, color, hierarchy, narrative pacing inside the frame
  • You work inside the client's existing brand system — not inventing brands
  • I own the script, the creative direction, the client relationship. You own the visuals.

Path to full-time within 6 months if the fit is real.

Why this and not somewhere else

01

Premium clients, not volume churn

Most storyboard freelancers ride a feast/famine cycle — one project, then nothing. We have launches scheduled months in advance. The next storyboard is already on the calendar.

02

Real creative direction

You'll get specific direction and the room to execute it well — not vague briefs and "make it pop." Written down, defended, evolved over time, in direct collaboration with me.

03

Work that ships and gets seen

Every launch we deliver gets traction — clients have closed funding rounds, got 30,000 emails off a single post, 15,000 new users, and brought us new work directly. Your portfolio grows with ours.

04

No agency politics

I handle the client relationship. You handle the boards. No producer layer, no creative director above me, no Slack chaos.

Ownership

What you'd own

  • Storyboarding in Figma (8–15 frames per project)
  • Style frame design at concept stage (2–3 directional options)
  • Composition, hierarchy, narrative pacing inside each frame
  • Working inside the client's brand system
  • Optional: joining client direction calls when useful

What you wouldn't own

  • Animation in After Effects (separate role)
  • Client communication or scoping
  • Pricing or contract decisions
  • Strategic positioning of the launch

Who we're looking for

Who we want

  • Strong frame composition — not screen design instincts
  • Type-as-image sensibility (editorial, not UI annotation)
  • Comfort with brand systems and restraint inside them
  • You watch motion and film outside work. You can name people whose visual sensibility moves you.
  • CET ±4 hours preferred

Who we don't want

  • Studios applying as a team
  • UX designers branching into film (frames ≠ screens)
  • Anyone who needs handholding through Figma basics
  • Junior designers — this is a senior role (not in years, in quality)
